"Unmanned Vehicle Fleet" Deployed for the Freshmen! A National Defense University Builds a Smart Campus "Mobile Formation"

Release date: Views:
      In the autumn semester opening season, a certain national defense university officially introduced the YX S3 unmanned driving shuttle bus, presenting freshmen with a technology-filled "welcome gift." This smart shuttle bus integrating multiple cutting-edge technologies has quickly become a striking mobile landmark on campus. It flexibly shuttles between the school gate, registration areas, dormitories, parking lots, and other stations, efficiently connecting students and parents, significantly easing campus traffic pressure during the opening period and making the registration process more orderly and convenient.

      Many freshmen intuitively felt the changes brought by technology during their first ride. One student who just finished a test ride said: "Switching from traditional shuttles to autonomous driving is not only an improvement in efficiency but also a brand-new technological experience."

The reason this unmanned shuttle bus can flexibly and safely navigate the campus lies in its multi-layered and systematic safety design:
All-round environmental perception
Through multi-source heterogeneous sensors such as LiDAR, millimeter-wave radar, ultrasonic radar, and high-definition cameras, it achieves 360° dead-angle-free environmental perception and acquires precise data in real time;

Intelligent decision-making and precise control
Relying on deep learning and reinforcement learning algorithms, the system can analyze complex road conditions and predict risks within milliseconds, generating strategies such as deceleration, optimal path planning, and autonomous obstacle avoidance, which are precisely executed through the electronic control unit (ECU) to ensure smooth and safe driving;

Centimeter-level high-precision positioning and navigation
Combined with Beidou/GPS satellite positioning and high-precision maps, it achieves centimeter-level positioning. Even in signal-shaded areas such as tunnels, the inertial navigation system can still provide continuous precise positioning and path tracking;

Cloud collaboration and remote monitoring
With the help of 5G/V2X communication technology, the vehicle is interconnected with the cloud platform in real time. The operation center can monitor vehicle status, location, and surrounding environment 24/7, achieving intelligent dispatching and support.

      The efficient collaboration of these four layers endows the YX S3 with "seeing in all directions and hearing in all ways" perception capability, a "smart and decisive" decision-making brain, and "continuously evolving" cloud intelligence. It not only ensures efficient completion of shuttle tasks but also transforms every trip into a safe, comfortable, and highly technological seamless experience.

      In the future, ECHIEV will continue to promote the deep integration of autonomous driving technology with campus scenarios, integrate smart shuttle systems into university digital infrastructure, and continuously create safer, more efficient, and intelligent travel experiences, injecting new momentum into smart campus and green ecological development.
